Description

This Strontium Aluminate powder is made by combining alkaline earth aluminate with rare earth elements (for the greens and the blues a mixture of Europium and Dysprosium is used as the rare earth component) Then it is mixed with a fluorescent pigment. This pigment absorbs some of the Strontium Aluminate glow, and then fluoresces the color of the pigment. It’s kinda cheating since the fluorescent component doesn’t add to the luminance of the powder, but it works well fow mixing to color shift the strontium aluminate.
Fluorescent Strontium Aluminate mixes are unencapsulated powder. This maximizes luminance and fluorescence, and should be used to mix with things like plastics, nail polishes, epoxies, and silicone where the conditions for oxidation are not present.
